Matching fabrics

We use this summer break to try to solve all the doubts you send us during the year. If in the last post we solved doubts about linings, today we are looking for fabrics that combine between them..

Options to consider when we want to look for looks for our flamenco dress or guest dress.

Combining plain fabrics

When matching plain fabrics we have two sure bets with which not to fail: combining colors of the same fabric or different fabrics of the same shade.

Combining colors of the same fabric

Obviously, the first option is the easiest, since we will have no problem with the different textures, but everything will depend on the colors we choose.

ADINA. Reference: 01147-0413. Color: Ruby. Satin crepe fabric.

If you have doubts about the fabrics to choose, we recommend this post about the most flattering colors according to skin and hair tone..

Combining different fabrics of the same color tone

A fantasy that many of us have dreamed of and that, knowing how to combine different fabrics, it is possible to achieve.

For this we propose a SORAYA model (satin fabric) and a DRAVA model (chiffon fabric). Both are well-known classics of the house.

Combination of plain and printed fabrics

A classic, perhaps the easiest and most popular.

To get this kind of looks we recommend articles of our own production. Thanks to our printing service , we can play with shades and bases, until we get the desired look.

In this case, we recommend ARANCHA, available in plain or printed version:

ARANCHA. Reference: 01137-0305. Color: Ink blue. Satin fabric.

Combination of plain and flocked

Although it is used for both flamenca and guest, perhaps this first one is the most popular.

This time we recommend our flocked star: DRAVA chiffon in its different facets.

Combination of prints

Combining prints is always a risk, if we do not follow the basic tips that mark the canons. Fortunately, the rules are simple:

  1. At a minimum , there should be a common color in the main garments. Either the same color or the same range.
  2. If we have a very bold or flashy print, we can combine it with another more discreet print, to seek harmony.
  3. The Floral prints go with everything: plaids, stripes, polka dots...
  4. Los Plaids and stripes also always go well together. And if we seek to enhance within the same tone, much better.
  5. Combine the same print with different sizes. The best example is polka dots.
