Trends for the perfect guest: colours for autumn/winter 2023

We leave the summer behind to find ourselves with a new guest season. And how could it be any other way, we start the new season by analysing what colours will be worn this autumn/winter in the upcoming events.

Trendy Guest Colours: Autumn/Winter 2023

Although next week we will look at what neckline or how long to wear the dress, this week we will focus on the 5 trendy shades.

Red

Without a doubt, one of the guest colours by excellence, especially this 2023.

This autumn the annual trend continues, as we continue to see creative and eye-catching proposals from leading designers.

From coral reds, through Valentino or blood reds, to garnet shades.

This passionate and magnetic tone makes it one of the reference colours for any occasion: whether it is a special gala, a wedding or a romantic celebration.

How to wear it? We can opt for a total look, as we can see in the image, or combine it with neutral colours, such as white, black or grey, to balance the outfit and give more emphasis to the red.

Red proposals

We are in love with red! That flamenco and passionate shade undoubtedly represents us. And that's why in our catalogue we include a large variety of textile proposals for this tone. Let's discover some of them:

Blue

It is a very popular colour for this kind of events but... this autumn/winter season, what shade should I choose?

The answer ranges between the shades: bluish, bluish, royal blue, colbalt and saffron.

It is an elegant colour but also has the virtue of looking good on blondes & redheads as well as brunettes.

Furthermore,it is a colour that can be used for both a daytime and an evening celebration..

And although for darker tones we will always choose the night, we can get away from the rule if we play well with the accessories, the hairstyle or even the pattern of the dress itself!

A colour that we are sure to find in any wardrobe.

Pink

One of the main causes of the Barbie fever has been the irruption of pink in all aspects of fashion, also in guest wear.

The Barbie trend, also known as Barbiecore , has reached all corners of the world, becoming an ideal colour for both the office and for a wedding guest.

So if you've already ventured into pink this year, don't give up on it for your next event! And if you haven't yet... it's clearly the ideal season to do it.

Which tone to choose? Well, in this case, everything works! Although the Barbiecore promotes the use of bubblegum pink or pastel shades, this year's trend also involves pastel or baby shades. Ideal in total look or as a dominant colour.

Light tones will make us feel more romantic and dark tones more adventurous. Although all of them will transmit comfort and joy.

Pink fabrics to follow the Barbiecore trend

Some days ago we reviewed Barbie fabrics on our website, shop and in social media, but today we are expanding this selection with some autumn/winter fabrics.

We also add other ideas:

SLASTIC. Reference: 00096-0009. Elastic velvet fabric. Soft and very adaptable.
TUL CISNE. Reference: 03112-0901. Soft tulle fabric.
ALAMO. Reference: 01277-0910. Plain fabric for trousers and suit jacket.

Yellow

Back in spring, at the beginning of the year, we were already talking about vitamin colours. An example of this was the fuchsia we mentioned earlier, along with Barbie fever.

Another colour that does not escape this season is yellow. A cheerful colour that is normally associated with summer, but this year it is the antidote to the cold days.

Its values of positivism fit in with this desire to brighten up the coldest days.

Although it is true that in this case we will opt for tones closer to the earth, such as mustard or egg yolk, avoiding fluorine tones and more vivid (or summery) shades.

How to wear it? We continue with the trend of recent times and we will also go for a total look, with a dress or two pieces in the same yellow tone. If we opt for a two-piece of trousers and blazer, we can accompany it with a white shirt or blouse, matching the white accessories.

Black

Dolce & Gabbana Autumn/Winter 2023-2024 Collection | Hola Magazine

We close this selection with one of the basic colours, but which will also be a trend this year: black.

A symbol of elegance, sophistication and formality, we can use it in tailored suits and evening dresses.

There is no need to mention that this is a must in any wardrobe. As its tone will give us a more serious and formal look.

It is also considered a chameleonic and timeless shade, as we can easily combine it with (almost) all colours and we can play with patterns in multiple ways, always obtaining a very pleasing result.

Another of the games that black allows are the textures, allowing us to combine velvets or leather garments, depending on the look we are looking for.

Black fabrics

Among our large selection of black fabrics, we have chosen 3 very different options to make from lingerie styles, to two-piece tailored suits and dresses or tops playing with transparencies.

ALAMO. Reference: 01277-0002. Plain fabric ideal for trousers and suit jackets.
